Jon has spent a varied legal career across both the UK and Kenyan legal markets advising a wide range of corporates, private equity funds, real estate investors, banks and non-bank lending institutions on a diverse range of financing, real estate and corporate matters, specialising in general and leveraged finance. He has worked both for leading law firms in London and Nairobi, as well as spending time in-house with a leading European private markets investor (heading up the legal function for their private corporate and real estate debt funds).
Jon has also completed lengthy secondments to two international private equity firms. A blend of private practice and in-house experience means he is uniquely placed to understand clients needs from their commercial perspective, and provide business-focused advice.
Jon is a solicitor of the High Courts of England and Wales and holds an MA Jurisprudence from St Johns College, Oxford University.
